An Indian national from Kerala, Patnibin Maxwell, was tragically killed in an anti-tank missile attack that occurred on Monday near Israel's northern border community of Margaliot. The attack, reportedly launched from Lebanon, struck an orchard, resulting in casualties. Alongside Maxwell's demise, two others, Bush Joseph George and Paul Melvin, sustained injuries and were promptly hospitalized for treatment. George underwent surgery for injuries sustained on his face and body and is currently recovering well, while Melvin received treatment for slight injuries at Ziv Hospital in Safed.
According to reports, the attack is believed to have been carried out by the Shia Hezbollah faction in Lebanon, amid ongoing tensions and conflict in the region. The incident also saw seven foreign workers injured, two of them seriously, as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) responded by shelling the launch site with artillery and striking Hezbollah compounds in southern Lebanon. This attack underscores the escalating tensions in the region and the ongoing challenges faced by neighboring communities amidst the conflict.
